Everybody seems to have their opinions and everybody seems to care. I gotta tell you what's on my mind and what I'm thinking... But I don't wanna see your stare. Just because I've got a Tumblr and an iPhone, Just because I can't see without my glasses, this whole thing has been far too overblown. But now I think that it is time to feed the masses And I'll tell you I'm not a hipster. But I could surely make your hips stir. And I'll tell you I'm not a hipster. But you and me? The perfect mixture. We're perfectly total non-hipsters. Looking up the definition of a hipster makes me think that you don't know the real meaning it seems to me that you think I'm an intellectual and that you're trying to make the term seem demeaning. Just because I like photography and bare feet, just because I dislike the taste of red meat, you can label me with whatever thinks you think of But I'll just tell you this: I'll tell you I'm not a hipster. But I could surely make your hips stir. And I'll tell you I'm not a hipster. But you and me? The perfect mixture. We're perfectly total non-hipsters.

Rain 01:32
Remember we were taking off on those gloomy days? When we would go outside and skateboard through the puddles and rain? I'll tell you what, that nothing else will feel the same as how I felt when you leaned in and kissed my cheek in the rain. And all along while we were just a cruising through town and we would slip and skin our knees or smash our face in the ground. Not a one of us would have a mean thing to say. We would just jump back up and go along our own merry way. And that is why I love you and I'm not afraid now to tell you just exactly how I feel and this is my vow: Forever and for always, we will cruise in the rain. Even when we're not together, this memory will remain.

Change 04:17
This girl has been so beautiful Since the day that she was born Of curly locks And building blocks Her hands so thick and worn. The people never knew her name, They changed it up with time. They called her this They called her that She said "that name's not mine" Don't ever let them change your name, girl. Never let them win, Change who you are, Change who you'll be, Or change where you have been. See life's a funny thing, dear When you think about it now, If change is all a given, How much change should we allow? A man was once a young boy Who grew up by the bay. His father fished His mother baked And outside, he would play. One day, this boy's dear father Sailed off into the sun He left some cash And left a note That said "goodbye, my son" The boy lives as a man now With a wife and three young kids He promised them he'd never do what his father did. See life's a funny thing, dear When you think about it now. There's change, & there's forgiveness and Good qualities, endowed. There was a boy who I once loved For reasons no one knows Not even he, Not even I, Could tell you how love grows. Love creeps in slowly, nice and calm Then hits you in the eye You won't know when Or where you felt it For the first damn time. And so I loved this poet boy His eyes blue as the sea. He played his music And I watched him Fall out of love with me. See life's a funny thing, dear When you think about it now. Because change is a given, How can anyone make vows? Don't get so hung up by the change Your life is void of an exchange Don't get so hung up by the change Here comes another rearrange But at the end of each long day, A new one is ahead. And all the Change That happens now Will happen till you're dead. Don't let the others change you But I think I must confess Some change is good Some change is bad Some happens for the best Allow yourself to embrace Allow yourself to grow Watch the world Spin all around Cause everybody knows That life's a funny thing, dear When you think about it now. Change is just a given You're a different person now I'm a different person now

Call Me Not 03:36
This room is filled to the brim with things we've left unsaid. Why am I always the one to fix it? I decided not long ago I wouldn't be the one no more. No, no. I have nothing else to say to you. And if you want this fixed, it's all on you. Swallow your pride, admit that I was right. Swallow your pride, admit that I was right. Well, my decision to leave this room, I think that it was right. You've always had other girls. You'll be just fine. And I decided not long ago I wouldn't be just another girl, No, no. I have nothing else to say to you. And if you want this fixed, it's all on you. Swallow your pride, admit that I was right. Swallow your pride, admit that I was right. Please, oh please, quite calling me Please, oh please, quite calling me Please, oh please, quite calling me Please, oh please, quite calling me.... I have nothing else to say to you. And if you want this fixed, it's all on you.

Stranded 03:14
All is here and all is now it all has happened. Who knows how? Who am I to try and figure it out? It's assumed I'll never know I might as well enjoy the show. This body I have wasn't made to last. But everyone has read this story. Read it so many times it's probably getting boring. You can't tell me I'm leaving empty handed, I'd rather leave than end up being stranded. And I promise to make amends if I'll be pardoned in the end for the rules I broke that wouldn't bend. I can't stay here, thinking I'm alone. I know I'll never be disowned. Not even in my darkest times. But everyone has read this story. Read it so many times it's probably getting boring. You can't tell me I'm leaving empty handed, I'd rather leave than end up being stranded.

Oh Shenandoah, I long to hear you I look away, rolling river Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you Away, oh, bound away, across the wide Missouri The chief disdained the trader's dollars Look away, rolling river My daughter, you shall never follow. Away, oh, bound away, across the wide Missouri For seven years, he put it sadly I look away, rolling river For seven more, he longed to have her Away, oh, bound away, across the wide Missouri She said she would not be my lover Look away, rolling river Because I was a dirty sailor Away, oh, bound away, across the wide Missouri It's "Fare thee well," I'm bound to leave you I look away, rolling river Oh Shenandoah, I would not deceive you Away, oh, bound away, across the wide Missouri Oh Shenandoah, I love you daughter I look away, rolling river I take her across the open water Away, oh, bound away, across the wide Missouri

I see all these faces looking at me They don’t know the person I used to be Beautiful with absolutely no flaws But this sin has put my life on pause. It’s a shame it really is That she can’t know ‘bout a life with him She’s my all yeah she’s my own I will raise her and she will grow To be much better than I have ever been I see her big eyes looking at me The innocence can’t over come her curiosity I never told her bout her father on Earth But she’s known about his heart since her unplanned birth. It’s a shame it really is That she can’t know ‘bout a life with him She’s my all yeah she’s my own I will raise her and she will grow To be much better than I have ever been Now he wants her in his life Not sure if I can be his wife She deserves a father And I deserve to be happy It’s a shame it really is That she can’t know ‘bout a life with him Now he’s gone and we will go I will raise her and she will grow To be much better than I have ever been

Romance 02:30
If words were life’s true hourglass To which our hearts did beat An hour’s quantified by lips Whose verse does grief deplete If angels walked upon the earth We'd overcome our problems and then see what we're really worth If watches stopped their silent strum Left us to tell the time Romance and endless harmony Would live through words of rhyme With every breath that I can take I think of you and me With every step I feel so light Like there's no gravity We all have had our share of strife Yet once our troubles come to pass, our dreams will come to life If watches stopped their silent strum Left us to tell the time Romance and endless harmony Would live through words of rhyme

Woe Is Me 02:24
Ain't got no money Ain't got no hope Ain't got no freedom Ain't got no rope Woe is me. Can't snap my fingers Can't tap my toes Can't even rock and roll. Woe is me. I musn't worry I can't dispair Cause it'll be here when I get there. Woe is me. It's looking brighter it's in the bag. I'll rat tat with my funky rag. Oh, it fits into a "T" I musn't worry I can't dispair Cause it'll be here when I get there. Woe is me.

Back to You 03:29
It’d be real nice if I saw you again. As if I haven’t seen enough of you. It’d be real nice if I still called you “friend” It’s the last thing you want me to do. You’re name keeps coming up In all my friends’ conversations I try to shake you off But there is one complication… I keep on running back to you my dear And All the words you said to me Still ringing in my ear What else can I say when I still want you here? I keep on running back to you my dear It’s been a while, I said I needed time But it’s time I’d rather spend with you. The time I’ve spent alone just builds up inside All things I’d like to say to you. You keep on showing up All my thoughts are screaming out I try to shake you off You’re all that I can think about Chorus Baby, baby, I know you’re no good for me Baby, baby, you stare at me so absently Baby, baby, step away so silently Baby, baby, I’ll try to forget you

So, why'd you only beckon me when you want me to come find you? I'm not equipped to sink this ship, much less come to its rescue. I got my eyes checked & the doctor say's they're lazy. I look around, but it's only you. You've made my vision hazy. I've read about this love, it's written in the Bible. I feel it come like summer rain, smell it long before arrival. But why does this happen to me? Fall in & out of love with strangers so I'm always free. Tie me down, put my roots back in the ground. Tell me why all this time has passed us by. After painful attempts to just withdraw you I realize I never loved until I saw you. If you've heard my songs before, you'd know that love has used me. Taken all that it can get, abandoned & abused me. If you're gonna leave me, well, at least leave me a warning. I'll lace my shoes up good & tight, Be gone before the mourning. But why does this happen to me? Fall in & out of love with strangers so I'm always free. Tie me down, put my roots back in the ground. Tell me why all this time has passed us by. After painful attempts to just withdraw you I realize I never loved until I saw you. But I'll be gone in the fall, so I'll be gone before we fall in love. Kiss me goodbye if that's your wish. It all has boiled down to this. Tie me down, put my roots back in the ground. Tell me why all this time has passed us by. After painful attempts to just withdraw you I realize I never loved until I saw you.
